Our mission
Wholesale and retail trade is the second-largest contributor to Nigeria's GDP, and the vast majority of that activity flows through informal channels: open-air markets, neighbourhood shops, and independent traders. Despite the scale and commercial significance of this channel, no continuous data infrastructure exists to capture what happens within it.
TruthVein's proprietary collection platform produces structured commercial data from informal trade environments where conventional data collection systems do not function, creating a persistent and verified data layer for enterprise brands, financial institutions, and commercial decision-makers.
Our values
01
Sourced numbers. Verifiable claims. Data as it is, reported as it stands.
02
Ground-level market signals delivered on a continuous cycle. Intelligence that moves at the speed of the channel.
03
Structured output from unstructured markets. Commercial teams act on data, not on interpretation.
Founding team
The team turning informal retail chaos into enterprise-grade intelligence — from field methodology to boardroom delivery.

How we operate
TruthVein's platform is designed around enterprise-grade governance from the ground up: provenance documentation, model versioning, and full audit transparency as standard across every dataset delivered to clients.
The collection platform is built on a principle of reciprocal value. Traders participate because the system returns tangible benefit to them, not because they are paid to report. Sustained participation at scale depends on designing for the trader's interest, not extracting from it.
All intelligence is delivered at the aggregate level. Individual trader identification is excluded by design, with anonymisation built into the collection architecture at the point of data capture.
